So I bought the blaze today, tried to to the update and after a few hours it had only made it 1/4 of the way so I figured there was an error and rebooted phone. Then it said battery too low, have to charge. So I put the face into the charger thing that comes with it, and plugged it into the same charger I use for my phone, left it for a few hours. Came back. Didn't charge at all. So now I just have the usb plugged directly into my computer (which always charges my phone much slower than the wall charger) and I cannot tell if anything is happening.
Is there any kind of symbol or indicator that the device is charging? Cause my screen just goes black in the charger. When I take it out it goes to the setup screen image. Also, I am certain I am placing the face into the charger thing properly with the pins lined up correct, the door closes just fine etc. But the thing hasn't charged whatsoever.
Help?

If the Fitbit is saying fitbit.com/setup then no there will be no charging indicator.
Please use your phones wall charger then try the update again. It will resume from where it failed last time.

Hello!
I received my blaze yesterday, as I opened the package I saw the documentation and in the fitbit.com/setup page the first thing that was said was to pair ir with the phone app (not to charge it, so I thought it came pre-charged), so I tried that directly. The phone said that there is a firmware update available but couldn't install it because the battery is too low. I put it to charge for about three hours connected to my computer and never got the battery indicator (the tracker only shows "fitbit.com/setup") and in that time the battery meter in the phone never move a bit.
I came to the forum and saw that plugging it to a phone charger should help.
It's being more than 5 hours and still the battery meter in the phone is red and says "low battery", can't install the upgrade or use the blaze "as is".
Any insight will be useful as I bought the fitbit by amazon and would like to explore all possibilities before sending it back.
Edit:
I must point out that the device is in the charging cradle; pins aligned; cradle snapped shut.

Hello @kio-13, please e my last post on any you don't see a charging indicator. Until the tracker is setup you won't.
Have you tried to finish the setup yet? Until you do the app will not know that you have charged it. My thought is to continue with the setup process. Normally I plug the tracker into its charger, plug the charger into my phones charging plug, open the app up and finish the setup. The app sees that the tracker is charging and finishes the app workout complaining.

I tried several times to install the update but it always says that the battery is too low and it interrupts itself. I understand that while the setup is not complete the battery indicator won't show on the device, but my problem is concerning the lack of charging and I don't know if it's not able to charge because it's waiting for the update of if there's anything else

Are you using a phone charger or cumputer to charge the tracker?
Did you feel a vibration when setting up the charger? This vibration tells you that it is charging. How about trying the update while the tracker is in its charger and charging.

Hi @Rich_Laue, as I stated in my first post, I tried charging the tracker using my computer for a few hours and then passed to a phone charger.
I've never had it to vibrate while connected, and I always tried to update while the tracker is in its charging cradle.
Today is totally dead, as I couldn't charge it during the weekend. Most likely I got a broken one.
I'll be returning it today.
Thanks for your time.
