I have had my blaze for almost a year. I bought shortly after its release in 2016. I have had little to no errors or complications with it.... until now.
Over the holidays I had taken the bit off, and forgotten to put it back on. It died completely, I had charged it, it died again. And just yesterday went to recharge and wear again. The date was stuck.... Jan 2. which i've noticed happening in the last few months when it dies, that's fine.... just needs a sync.
I can't get it to sync anymore. I am using an Iphone 5S. I have tried connecting on my MAC as well. nothing. I have tried turning the bit off.... (the restart buttons (left and bottom right) doesn't work... it opens my communications (texts).) I have restarted manually... by going into settings on the bit. Nothing. I have gone to the App store and updated the app.... nothing. I have deleted the app and redownloaded completely again. Nothing. restarted my Iphone. nothing. Restarted iphone and fitbit together. nothing.
I have tried using just my data on my phone, and just wifi, both together. I have tried at work and at home. (thinking maybe its the connection via internet/phone provider). My laptop cannot find the fitbit in the bluetooth search.
The fitbit will not update and sync.... (so the fitbit has the proper date/time... or to update the steps, etc.)
there is also an option to update the fitbits software.. this will also not connect..... perhaps these are playing a role together and interrupting. The software update looks like its working, but the update button still sits there. and normally it connects at fitbit level and shows its loading something. Nothing happens on the fit and in less than a minute the phone goes back to the original screen with the update still sitting there...... maybe theres no update? maybe its just not updating. idk.
I finally have removed the fitbit from my account, I have tried this in the past and just readded it... and not my fitbit will not connect here either. I got through the setup pages on the app, it asks for the code, I put it in and it keeps saying "Connecting to Fitbit". I tried to connect it last night. It ended up killing my phone battery...... recharge my phone this morning. and its still sitting on the connecting to fitbit screen with the code displayed. It's been about 30 minutes now.
Now I have nothing at all. I am at my wits end. I have never had such problems with this bit in the almost year of owning it. Clearly from the discussion feeds I am not the only one, I am at the point I want to just give up and get rid of it........... this is my last attempt to fix...... any suggestions?

This worked beautifully....... It moved past the 'Connecting to fitbit' within a minute or two, and asked to update the fitbit..... it shows a loading screen on the iphone and fitbit together!.... just waiting on the update to finish.......... fingers crossed!
