Blaze not holding charge and cannot scroll through screens

My fitbit blaze charges ok but does not hold charge and I cannot scroll through the screen when charged. I noticed that the black rubber pads on the right hand side of the watch base are missing. Does this mean the watch is doomed to be replaced?😯
