Blaze not holding charge

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My blaze was working well till 2 weeks back, when it started two things that are not usual - 1) when I charge it, it goes from zero charge to 100% in 10 min or less and 2) then the charge gets drained in less than 6 hours. I read some messages with same or similar issue, but none of the answers helped. Please let me know what should I do. Blaze is around 2 years old now.

Have you tried plugging the cradle into a computer, out different wall plugs(the square "brick" that plugs into the wall)?

Also, maybe clean the contacts on the watch and cradle with rubbing alcohol.

Having the same problem, same timeline. I’ve had my blaze for about 2 years, can normally go 2-3 days before I need to charge. All of a sudden, it doesn’t hold a charge, won’t keep synced due to charge— it’s on the charger for the second time today which has never happened. Not sure what’s going on, maybe an update bug, or if this is some apple iPhone battery type of voodoo they are trying to pull to get folks to buy new devices.

Have you checked to see if your phone and Blaze are syncing?  This is a common problem with the Blaze.  If they're not syncing,  it will drain the battery quickly.  However,  I've had a problem getting them to sync altogether.  This is a firmware problem from Fitbit.  Especially with the Blaze.  It's been bad since they launched this product.  Sorry.

Few weeks back - I had this topic floated here - “My blaze was working well till 2 weeks back, when it started two things that are not usual - 1) when I charge it, it goes from zero charge to 100% in 10 min or less and 2) then the charge gets drained in less than 6 hours. I read some messages with same or similar issue, but none of the answers helped. Please let me know what should I do. Blaze is around 2 years old now. “. After this, I called fitbit customer service who did nothing but sent an email with 35% discount to buy new product (very good strategy - build bad product and then find a way to entice repeat purchase - only they missed that customers are not fools). While they said the discount won’t apply to 4 products, when I tried to buy using that discount, there is no place in their website to add a discount code to apply the discount to the other products. At that time, I decided enough and time is now to move to Apple Watch. I wish all the best to fitbit and hope the current customers to get better service!

thank you fitbit for our Long association! Anyway, you appear not to care much for losing loyal customers.

You are correct!  It's always been a bad product and that's why they don't make the Blaze anymore.  And the discount to purchase another one is the same thing that they tried on me.  I couldn't find a way to make the discount apply either,  so I didn't buy anything else.   When reading about the new Fitbit smart watches,  they are having syncing issues too.   Time to move on to something else.

Yes. It keeps syncing and un-syncing. I bought the cheapest Fitbit for replacement. I can’t spend hundreds of dollars on something that only lasts 2 years and only counts my steps. Once this one goes, I’ll switch to something more reliable and longer lasting.

Same issue! I never had any issues until early-mid December. So frustrating. I haven't found any solution. I'm on android, so Apple watch won't work for me. Based on what I'm reading about them giving a discount code with no where to put a discount code in, I will likely wait until February when the Samsung Watch Active 3 is rumored to be announced and go that route. I've heard great things about the Watch Active 2 as well.

It seems like fitbits way of making you upgrade and I don't agree with that, so I won't be supporting fitbit anymore.
