Blaze not logging Sleep Stages

So I just started wearing my Fitbit blaze to sleep and I am not noticing any record of any sleep I am getting. I have charged it and shut it down several times but I can’t find a solution.

Hey there @SunsetRunner. Great to see you in the Fitbit Community Forums! 🙂

I'm sorry you're having problems getting your Blaze to log your sleep correctly 😕

Thanks for trying to shut it down and making sure it's charged! Now, I'd like to know, do you see at least a Sleep Pattern record or you don't see any sleep log at all? I can suggest some tips to make sure your tracker will recognize your sleep properly:

  • Make sure you're not sleeping in a position that could precent your device from getting a consistent heart-rate reading and make sure you're not wearing it too loosely. For best results, wear your device higher on your wrist (about 2-3 finger widths above your wrist bone). The band should feel secure but not too tight.
  • Don't use the Begin Sleep Now option in the Fitbit app (instead of simply wearing your device to bed).
  • Make sure your tracker is charged

Now, just to be sure, you can restart your tracker again by pressing the left and lower right buttons for 10-12 seconds until your Blaze reboots and then, you can try to set it up as a new device. For this, go to the Account section at the top right corner on the Fitbit app and select the option that says "Set up a new device". Follow the on-screen instructions and once you're done, your tracker should be syncing without a problem.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you need more help!

I have the same problem. It was tracking, and the last few nights, it’s not recording deep sleep and REM.

If if I set up as new device, will I lose historical data?
