I am doing the couch to 5k - currently I am setting my phone to the walk activity when I do it but I don't think my calories are correct on it - would you set your activity to walk or run? Bearing in mind in 27 minutes I am doing 9 minutes of running and the rest walking?

You could not start activity tracking at all and just let the Blaze track your activity. It will determine whether you are walking or running, use the right stride length, and calculate the appropriate calories.
