Blaze not performing as desired

upgraded from the force.  I finally turned it in for the refund since there was now a device that fitbit made that was appealing to me.  Should have kept it since it was more accurate for me than this one has been.  Out of 100 steps, counted 80; did this test multiple times altering how I walk but seriously, I want this watch to catch my steps when I'm walking as I usually do, not walking in a manner that is unnatural for me (I don't always swing my arms, sometimes have to hold a child or 2).  went through and calculated my stride, still no improvement.  The fitbit app on my phone has dropped the blaze as a device on multiple occasions so I had to add it again (never happened with the force).  the cheap swag pedometer is more accurate than this device.  Probably not allowed to ask this here but anyone with experience comparing this device to the garmin vivoactive.  I really don't need the HR feature.  The only thing that has worked well once I got the watch to pair correctly with my phone has been the notifications for text and phone calls

Have you gone into settings to ensure you have the appropriate option selected for which hand you wear the blaze?

As far as the app dropping the blaze, I would look through the forums to see if their is a solution for that.

I'm not sure what id me t by dropping the Blaze?

Is it loosing conection, or does tye Blaze disapeer from the App.. in general the app will automatically attach any tracker connected to your account to your phone. The only thing needed os to be logged into your Fitbit account. yhis is Why I'm confused.

Yes, I made sure it was set for the correct arm I wear it on.
The blaze disappears from the app and I have to pair it again. I remain logged into my Fitbit acct at all times. I made sure to remove the old tracker first as well (again, never had to do this with the force but I think it used different technology to sync).

There was no reason to remove the old Fitbit.

Next time it disapears from the app, please check the webpage and see if it disapeared from there also. This will tell us is the Blaze was removed from your account orjust dosapeered from the app.

If it only disapeared from the app, then lodging out amd back in should fix it, and we can notify Fitbit that a fix is needed.
