Blaze not responding

I purchased my blaze a little more than a year ago this would be my second fitbit and now it's not working. I can tap the screen to turn it on but if I swipe right and select anything that is where it gets stuck I can't back out from the screen. None of the buttons are working properly at this point. I have to put the fitbit on the charger to get back to the main screen.

Things that I have tried is

  1. I tried holding the left back button along with the bottom right button and the only things that happens is the screen times out and goes black. I have yet to see the logo pop up on the screen.
  2. After putting the watch on the charger I was able to swipe right to settings and shut the fitbit down. I got the fitbit to turn back on using one of the buttons on the right but the problems continued as before.
  3. I have tried seeing if there was any dust or particles around the buttons by using a toothpick.

After reading I saw where someone said there is no repair to these problems on the fitbit devices is that true?
