I’m not sure if it’s syncing at all on it’s own. I know it hasn’t synced this week at all because none of my workouts logged. I can sync manually but shouldn’t have to. I’ve had this Blaze since they came out and never had an issue with it auto-syncing until recently.
Same phone, etc.

Check you haven't accidentally switched of auto-syncing Lorrain, go to the gray index card in the upper right corner, touch picture of your blaze and scroll up to "All Day Sync" to be sure it's switched "on". This will allow your mobile device to communicate the data stored on your watch to the dashboard every 10-20 minutes automatically when your mobile is within range (about 20 feet)
If still not happening for you, try restarting your Blaze by pressing and holding the left and bottom right buttons until the fitbit logo comes up on your tracker.
Let me know if either of these doesn't clear up the problem, you are right, a manual sync is an option, not a standard.

It's great to see you around @lorraineg and @wmchapman thanks for stopping by.
I would like to know if you keep having syncing issues? Have the instructions provided by our friend worked? You can also try the steps provide in the help article Why won't my Fitbit device sync?.
Hope to hear from you soon.

If it does auto-sync when the app is opened but not when closed the Fitbit app has not been allowed to run in the background on your phone. For more information, see Why is the Fitbit app not auto-syncing with the app closed?
