Blaze not syncing

Since switching to android my Blaze won't sync properly. I can sometimes get it to sync by turning my Bluetooth on and off but even this often takes multiple attempts. I have tried reinstalling the app and deleting and reconnecting my Blaze. My son's just got an ace and that syncs with no problems to the same phone.
