I've got a new Blaze and it nicely reminds me to get up and move when I've been sitting too long, which I love, but unfortunately, it does not update with all of my steps when I do get up. If it does this on my walks or workouts, it will be a real issue.
I've read the other topics on this same issue and see different things worked for different people.
What I have done to confirm the issue: I restarted the Blaze. I tried switching the dominant arm. I synched both my Blaze and my old Charge HR so that they reflected the same data, walked around for awhile and then checked them both. Sure enough, the Charge HR is significantly ahead of the Blaze in total step count. Should I be contacting Fitbit for a replacement? I just got this thing.
Thanks for any help. --Leha

I am having the same problem, bought this watch on Amazon Prime day. I can walk around the room and no steps are recorded.. I tried restarting it and no change. Any ideas will be welcome!

@Leha there is a few different things that might be going on here.. I'm not really understanding what your saying.
You say reminder to move is working but does not update,, then the subject is changed to strps.
Are you saying that the hours active on the Blaze don't match the hours active on the app or web? This is a known problem that I thought was fixed, but maybe it is not.
When you get up to walk, does the step count on the Blaze increase and you get the congratulation message?
I would put the Blaze in its walk recording mode, then go for a walk while counting the steps off in your head.. Now compare.
If you want to compare the two trackers, create a second account for the Charge HE then friend the two.
You really need to do this for a month for the leaderboard to get a good comparission

Hi, Rich:
Thank you for your reply, and sorry if I was not clear in my original post. The reminder is fine. I was saying that the tracker was not counting all of my steps. There was never any issue with synching.
However, since then, I have been wearing both the Charge HR and the Blaze on the same wrist, not synching either of them (so that they would remain independent while on the same account), and comparing what each records in Steps.
While all day yesterday the Charge HR remained ahead of the Blaze, recording about 50 more steps per 100 yesterday, today is a different story. In fact, today the Blaze has recorded more steps than the CHR!
So so maybe it will turn out to be a wash, or maybe the Blaze is in some kind of "learning mode"? As I said, I only just got it. 😁

Welcome to the Forums @Leha, @Anniegigi9 and @Rich_Laue thanks for stopping by.
If you are having inconveniences with the information recorded by your Blaze, I recommend restarting the trackers. After this process, walk 100 steps and let me know how many the devices registered.
Hope to hear from you soon.

Hi, Alejandra, thank you for your reply. For awhile there I thought the Blaze was getting better, but I think that was just because I wasn't checking it as carefully. In the last few days I have noticed that it continues to count fewer steps than I have done, and also now seems to be possibly failing to get my heart rate right. I have tried restarting it a few times, have also completely disconnected my old Charge HR from the account to rule out any conflicts, and have also tried wearing the blaze on several locations on my wrist, as well as at varying tightness. None of these efforts have had any effect. The Blaze is consistently tracking fewer steps than I have completed. It seems to be losing about 20 steps out of every 100. Should I be returning it to be replaced? I never had this problem with the last two Fitbits I owned.
Thanks,
Leha

There are few things you have to remember,
Make sure your wrist moves while walking, blaze censor should be detecting the movement in order to count steps.
The heart rate doesn't work if the censor is away from your skin, or for some reason you are wearing it lose.
And still if doesn't work, you need to replace your blaze.
