My husband got me a Blaze a few days ago, but it hardly ever counts my steps. He borrowed mine, and it worked just fine for him. I also tried on his Surge and the same thing. Can anyone tell me why? We have tried to walked the same steps and pace, it will count about 2 of my steps to his every 30 or more .

Have you set your stride?
Are you holding on to anything? It needs to see your arms swinging
To set stride

A warm welcome to the Forums @zeja and @WendyB thanks for stopping by.
If your Blaze is not recording your steps correctly, I recommend restarting your tracker and as recommended by our friend, please check your stride length.
Let me know how it goes.

My stride is set to automatic, and I am usually not carrying anything.
I think maybe I don't swing my arms hard enough?? I am pretty quiet and stealthy.

I have tried restarting it, and the stride is automatic. I assume that is what it should be on? It is just on me, if my husband wears it it counts with no problems, so I think I don't move my arms hard enough. Could that be a possibility?

I looked into setting my own stride, it's definitely wrong for automatic. It is higher than my husband right now, how exactly do I calculate it?
In 90 feet, I took 46 steps.
