Hi there @Workout.0, welcome to our Fitbit Community. At this moment the LG G5 is not in our list of compatible devices. Despite this does not mean the tracker wont work we cannot guarantee the mobile device will support the different features.
With this in mind, it would not hurt to give it a try to the suggestions of my friend @ErickFitbit on this post.
Hope this helps and let me know if you have additional questions.

I was able to fix this very easily after reading some other forums and making an educated guess. I've scoured forums and I still cant believe that Fitbit hasn't been recommending this. Literally to fix this issue, obviously make sure notification permissions and location services for fitbit are enabled. The watch is designed to work wit hall of these services enabled.
After making sure permissions are hwta they should be, WHAT GOT IT TO WORK FOR ME:
This is the part that makes it work -
GO TO THE CLOCK SCREEN ON YOUR WATCH, AND PRESS AND HOLD THE SIDE BUTTON FOR 2 SECONDS - THE SCREEN SHOULD NOW SAY NOTIFICATIONS ON!!!
After selecting Notifications On, everything started to come through. Also, take note that you could send yourself a TEST notification to your Fitbit from your phone to test this after turning notification on, on your Charge 2.
