Blaze randomly shuts down

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Blaze randomly shuts down on its own. The only way I can get it to turn back on is to put it in the charger and then it will restart. Holding the bottom button in does not work. This method only works if I manually shut it down. This is frustrating because 1) I don’t always have my charger on me and 2) it might be an hour or few before I realize it and the steps during that time are not recorded. I’ve tried manually restarting it, cleaning it, and making sure the app and firmware are updated. What else can I do?

Hey @kad515, it's great to see you here.

Thanks for troubleshooting this by yourself. Since the restart process didn't work, I've gone ahead and escalated your case to our support team, for them to take a deeper look at this. Please keep an eye on your inbox for further instructions.

Keep me posted. Woman Happy

Thanks for forwarding my post to support. It’s only 1 1/2 years old but out of warranty so I was offered a discount on a new Fitbit. The Versa which is equivalent to what I have is not included in the discount. I tried the suggestion of shutting down three times in a row, that I found on another post. It seems to have worked for now. It hasn’t shutdown on its own in two days. I’m going to make a point to shutdown and restart every morning and hope that does the trick!

Thanks for the information @kad515.

I am glad to hear that your Blaze is working properly and that you received a discount in a next purchase. If you are interested in using that discount, you can see this page where you will be able to compare our trackers and see if there is one that meet your needs.

If there is anything else we can help you with, do not hesitate to post it.
