Over the last week, I have noticed that my Blaze has not been giving me credit for my bike rides, to and from work, when it automatically senses that I am on the bike and such. And then, over the last couple of days, I have noticed that my tossing and turning in bed has been giving me credit for time on an eliptical machine.
I'm sure that I get more than enough exercise through tossing and turning, but that's a bit ridiculous, no?
Best AnswerYou say it automatically senses the bike ride, but doesn't give credit, this sounds as if it is not sending the bike ride.. Have you checked the auto detection settings? They are found by tapping track your exercise, then the gear in the top right.
Since the Blaze has the ability to track a bike ride with the more accurate gps, you don't want to use this mode?
Best AnswerThat's correct, I don't want to use the GPS mode for my bike rides, I have Runkeeper on my phone doing that for me. I generally like to see what the SmartTrack does for me, since it counts those activities against my weekly exercise numbers. I have also noticed that my long walks are not tracked by the SmartTrack either.
Now, to be fair, I have recently started to use the GPS mode for those long walks, because admittedly, I have been hunting Pokemon on my phone and have been curious to know how far I've walked in those cases. I wonder if those two things are related at all. I should really give my Blaze a quick reboot.
Best Answer@opiatedsherpa did you check to see if outdoor bike is still enabled, and that your ride is long enough to be detected? It defaults to 15 minutes, you might need to change this.
Best AnswerYou bet... had a look, everything was still checked off.
I did give my Blaze a restart, shut it down and booted 'er back up and my walks seemed to have returned, will report back tomorrow, when I give the bike ride a go in the morning.

Best AnswerHi @AngelaMa & @Rich_Laue... yes, good news! The outdoor bike was registered this morning, so a good reboot of the device seems to work. Still found it rather strange that it would disappear, but that's technology for us these days, right?
