Blaze steps way less on treadmill

I got the Blaze and was excited to see that they added treadmill and elliptical in Exercise, however, when I wear the Blaze on the treadmill the steps are considerably less than what my treadmill says. I tried to manually log in treadmill walking and it wouldn't allow me to add mikes I walked, only the amount of time and calories. I am disappointed in this as I did over 12000 steps. The HR allowed me to do add miles manually. Any way to correct this so I get an accurate step count?

I'm a little comb fused @MarieCM how does the treadmill count steps, or does it calculate them? Don't compare miles, Fitbit calculates them.

My suggestion would be to a run/walk on the treadmill, while counting the steps in the head, then compare.

I did this yesterday and found the blaze to be within 2% of steps over a 15 minute period at 2.5 mph.

Of course if you hold on to the rails it might miss steps, not mentioning the dangers to the body.
