Blaze stopped working - screen black

hi everyone

 

I got this Blaze from my friend who was no longer using.

I been using this for about 2 weeks now.

I used it in the shower everyday and it had no problem.

My friend did confirm it is waterproof. I went for swimming yesterday and after i came back this blaze stopped working. just gone. black screen. tried restarting but nothing appeared on the screen. App cannot locate Blaze. Charged all night as well but nothing on the screen. When i took it out from the strap i could see a bit of steam (?) some water bubbles behind. Is it possible that this is dead cuz i went for swimming? Anyone had same issue?

This is unfortunately no longer under warranty so I am not sure what I should/could do.

Fitbit Blaze is water resistant....NOT waterproof.  You are not supposed to swim with this device to my knowledge.  I believe they have other devices that are designed to be waterproof, but not the Blaze unfortunately.  Maybe try putting it in rice to dry it out and it can be salvaged?
