Blaze sync issues

i have been bought a new blaze for xmas but have an windows 8.1 lumia 535 phonethat doesn't seem to want to sync with the new blaze, i am going to buy a new phone and wondered if anybody had any ideas and reasons on which phone would be best to use with the blaze i'm thinking of a samsung s7 or a iphone 6s, i don't want to spend money on a new phone that won't work properly with the blaze any help out there???????? thanks
