Blaze syncs extra steps

Arrived home from work at midnight and soon sat down to watch TV to chill for a while before bed. I noticed while trying to sync that suddenly I had more than 4200 steps I know I did not take or arm movements I did not make. This has been apparently going on the past few nights.

One thing I noticed is that the time frame in which this happened, my heart rate did not go above 85 bpm; however, it said I went for a run. 35 minutes or so. This made me think: did I accidentally swipe screen and tell it to do a run and clear it before I noticed? This is highly improbable but impossible?

It's great to have you here @nhguy78. I would like you to double check that you're not logging any activity during this time frame, I've noticed that sometimes this has happened when you log an exercise for an hour that you didn't mean at all. So, even though you were sleeping the activity was already logged, so that's why it's showing steps there.

Also, even if your tracker was in activity mode it shouldn't track any "false data" if you were wearing it. I would like you to double check that the timezone is properly set and this article about How accurate are Fitbit trackers?

In order to get more information about this discrepancy, answer the following questions:

- Were you wearing your tracker the whole night?

- Has this happened before?

- Have you noticed anything different or anything that may not be working at all in your Blaze?

Let me know how it goes. Keep me posted.
