Blaze text messages easy fix

Adroid Asus Zenfone 2

So my Blaze was not showing any notifications for phone calls, messeages, or calendar updates since the latest firmware update. No matter what I did to fix that issue, from logging out of the app, to completely removing the device from my phone and adding it back in, nothing worked. When I figured out the solution I was both happy and mad and the same time.

The fix is really simple, make sure you phone has the sound enabled or vibration enabled. I usually have my phone on mute all the time. Once I switched it from mute to sound, I started to receive messages again. Now it works like it is supposed too. It work with vibration, just not muted. Hopefully this will end up getting fixed with a new firmware update sometime soon.

Which phone do you have? I have an LG 4 and on the last update it took 3 days to sync - and now I can not get any of the notifications to come back to the blaze, I would get notifications when my cell would ring and text - now I get nothing - I am noticing that in the seetings the blue tooth keeps switching from pair to off - I am rather frustrated when the Blaze doesn't work properly!

I have an Asus Zenfone 2 with android version 5.0 lollipop.

What I would try to do is first remove the blaze from your bluetooth devices, then start the Fitbit app on your phone. Remove the blaze from your fitbit app, and log out of the app. Restart your phone and restart your blaze. After everything restarts, make sure that bluetooth is turned on, do not add the blaze yet. Next start up the fitbit app and add the blaze like you did the first time you got it. After you get the blaze to pair to your phone, go and check to see if the notifications are enabled in the app. Then check to see if notifications are turned on your blaze by swiping the screen down while you are on the clock screen.

If notifications do not work after that, I would suggest getting in touch with Fitbit tech support.  Hope this helps.

While in the Fitbit app, go to Devices, then select  Blaze, it should be the only one there. Then you should see Call and Text Notifications midway down the page in the general section..

First option is to go into your Blaze settings and change notifacations to your message img app. Fitbit can only monitor one at a time so you will lose What's App.

Second option is to download a third party app like BitTicker, set Fitbit to monitor this app, set this app to monitor what app messages you want displayed.

Launch the fitbit app, and then go to where it says call and text
notifications. Enable the notifications if you have not done that yet, then
select text notifications. Next you will select Messaging. The Fitbit can
only do one type of messaging at a time, unless you download a third party
software, but I tend to stay away from those. Hope this helps.

@crymerge one more not so obvious step, but yes you have the basics.

In iOS there is something to enable in the notifacatiion center. I'm not sure what exactly it is, I'm on android.

In Android under the Sounds and notifavafion settings enable show on lock screen.
