Hi All,
I've had a Blaze for a few weeks now and really like it, apart from one frustrating issue:
When I change time zones, how do I get my Blaze to pick up the correct time from my iphone 5C without having to use mobile data ?
I live in the UK but travel round Europe frequently for business. I don't have data roaming enabled when abroad, so my phone will not connect to the internet until I pick up a wifi connection.
The bluetooth is working fine (e.g. steps sync ok) but the time on the Blaze will not change when I change time zones. I have set all the options to auto time zone in the account part of the app, and in the Fitbit website, but the Blaze refuses to recognise the time on my phone until internet connectivity is available (usually the wifi at my hotel in the evening). Even if I go into the app on my phone and manually set the time zone to my location, it still refuses to change the time on the Blaze!
The bluetooth is working fine and steps sync ok to the app so I really do not understand why the time is not automatically corrected through the bluetooth.
Any suggestions?

Hi there @robcassely. Good to see you in the Community! 🙂
I totally understand what you say with this. Currently, the way it works is that you need to have an internet connection and bluetooth connectivity to allow your tracker to sync and take the changes. This means that any change that you do to your tracker on the app/online dashboard will reflect to your tracker until it syncs for which it requires the internet connection and the bluetooth connectivity.
At the moment, there is no way to change this but there is already a feature request for Fitbit trackers to be able to sync without using an internet connection that you can check here. You can add your vote and comments and it seems this is quite a popular request. Hopefully we can see something like this implemented in a near future.
Thanks for understanding and anything else you may need, I'm here to help!

Thanks for your response, I have added my vote to the thread that you identified.
I REALLY hope this gets fixed soon - I get frustrated that my "fitness watch" cannot tell the time when I'm abroad!!
Given the fact that the watch readily syncs the steps via bluethooth, surely a minor tweak is all that is required to align the time?
Cheers,
Rob
