Blaze touch screen not working?

I just received my Blaze in the mail today and even though it is gently used, is still nice(birthday present). Im not sure if im doing something wrong as im new to the product but sometimes when the screen is asleep and i tap it it will turn on, but other times it takes like 10 taps. not sure if sensitivity is wrong on it or something. It comes on when i raise my wrist then sleeps then tap it. Seems like if its been off for more than 15 sec.

You do have to tap it kind of hard to turn on. If you are having trouble use the button instead.
