Blaze under counting steps

Hi! I’ve had my Blaze about 1 1/2 years. It worked great until a few months ago. My normal step count for a day used to be 10,000-12,000.

For the last few months I’ve been struggling to make 8,000 on a normal day. A few days ago I didn’t even hit 5000. I’m pretty active and on my feet most of the day. My husband works at a desk all day and is ending up with more steps than I have. (He also has a Blaze.). Do you have ideas why all of the sudden it is doing this and any suggestions for fixing it?

Thanks!

I noticed that, at least in some of the Clock Faces (e.g., Argyle), the steps counter will not count if the screen is active.  If the screen goes dark, it will count.  This is the Fitbit version of "a watched pot never boils," I guess!

Hey @LauraH06@Taggarts welcome to the Community and @BullyDawg thanks for stopping by.

I am sorry to hear that your trackers aren't counting all of your steps. I recommend restarting the units, after the restart process do the following:

1. Put your trackers on your wrists.
2. Walk 100 steps, making sure to count a step each time one of your feet hits the ground.
3. Pause, then check your tracker to see your step count.

If your trackers counted less than 100 steps or more than 100, please let me know.

Hope to hear from you soon. Robot Happy

Hi!

I counted 100 steps twice. The first time the tracker counted 57. The second time it counted 77.

Thanks for your help.
