I am now on my second Blaze. I am still getting wildly inaccurate step counts. I have a regular 2.25 mile walk around my neighborhood. The last 3 times the step count has been 2600-3200 steps. It should be close to 5000. I am connected to my phone so the walk is tracked. My stride would have to be 44 inches to have numbers this low. Fitbit replaced my first. I used the new one last night and still got a low reading. After close to an hour on the phone last night and tests of my device they offered to send me a mailing label and said when we receive this back we will send you another Blaze. I have lost all faith in this product, why would I want another. The offered to sell me a fitbit Surge for $199. This was supposed to be an accomodation for my problems. 1. I already paid $199 for the disfunctional Blaze. This solution would essentially put me $400 out of pocket for the Surge. 2. I can buy a Surge on line for $199. Yay! Thanks for nothing Fitbit.

A warm welcome to the Community @LongStride. If your tracker is not registering all of your steps, I recommend restarting the Blaze. After the restart process, you can verify that your stride length information is correct to obtain a better reading by following the instructions provided in this post.
I hope this helps, let me know how it goes. ![]()

I have the same problem. A run i did today should display as 5.87km but on the fit bit is only 4.13km - that is a massively disproportionate result. I used several trackers and fitbit is sooo wrong. All use the same GPS off the same phone - at the same time..

Mine isn't counting about half my steps. I counted and took over 50 steps with some pauses to open some machines at my place of work within under one minute and it didn't count any of my steps
