Blaze willnot hold a charge

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

my Fitbit blaze stopped holding a charge about a week ago. I have shutdown the device several times, updated the device, etc and still no luck. What am I missing here? It appears several other users are experiencing the same issue. I use an iPhone to sync the device.

I don't think you're missing anything......  There are too many posts with this issue.

My Blaze has also stopped holding a charge. It would last on average 6 days between charges, then around the beginning of July something just tanked and now it only holds a charge about 4 hours. Hasn't gotten wet or experienced any physical damage. I even replaced the battery (which does require soldering), and still only lasts about 4 hours. Reset it, unpaired, checked firmware but nothing seems to help. Currently running firmware version 17.8.402.1. My Blaze is just over 2 years old, so out of warranty. After speaking with Fitbit, was offered a discount on a new one.

Mine does the same.  This just started for me too. I have tried everything with no luck. Yes they may offer a discount but I think  the latest software updates are the main issue.  I believe they are trying to phase out this model since it's no longer available.

Mine started a while ago, and it is over 2 years old too. I was attributing it to battery longevity, but based on other posts here now I wonder. The degradation did come on pretty fast. I was about to try replacing the battery myself (handy with a soldering iron), but after the last post, I dont think I am going to do that now. SMH

I wouldn't.  It sounds more like a software update issueSent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphone

I am starting to wonder if it was the new product effect like when apple makes a new phone and suddenly your old one doesn’t work haha! My blaze lasted at a minimum of 3 years maybe closer to 4, in perfect condition until this past week and EVERYONE is having the same problem.

I also have Verizon with a Galaxy S8 and have received a few software updates on my phone.  I haven't had a firmware update on my Blaze in a long time.  I did, however, get almost 12 hours exactly before it shut off again on my replacement battery.  So maybe there is a little hope still, although I'll be surprised if I even get the normal 6 days off a charge again.
