Here is the short story version of the issues. About 2 weeks ago I stopped getting any text messages on my Blaze.I still get email notifications but when they show up I only get who it is from and then a ... just below that. No other information. All other notifications from other selected apps seem to come in just fine as well as phone calls. Everything else syncs just fine.
Here is the longer more detailed version. About 2 weeks ago I stopped getting any text messages on my Blaze. Currently I am using Google Messages but I have tried going back to the default text messaging app on the phone but that doesn't help. Neither messaging app sends notifications to the Blaze.
I am using Yahoo Mail for my mail app. I get notifications for those but when they come in I only get a heading that shows who is the sender of the email and just below that I get ... and that is it. If I tap the message I get more information about when it was sent be nothing more than the "...". Everything else seems to sync just fine. All other app notifications selected under "App Notifications" come in just fine. Calls show up with the contact ID just fine.
I have a Samsung S9 phone running Android 9. I have all phone permissions turned on for the Fitbit app. The Fitbit app version is 3.0 (20213410). The blaze is up to date, or at least the app tells me it is. I have uninstalled and re-installed the Fitbit app, restarted the phone and Blaze countless times and nothing seems to help. Also I have turned on "Show all previews" under automatic previews in the messaging app.

Hello there @SunsetRunner! I'm sorry for the late response. Thanks for the detailed information about the notifications on your Blaze.
Please make sure that you haven't changed a related setting on your phone, such as turning on Do Not Disturb, Quiet hours, or Driving mode. To double check all requirements, see How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device?
If notifications aren’t working after checking the steps above, force quit the Fitbit app and reopen it to sync your Fitbit device. Notifications should work as expected after your device syncs.
If they don't, please restart your device and then refresh your notifications by following the steps below:
Give this a go and let me know the outcome, I'll be around.

As I am sure you are aware, if you are really reading through these boards, we have found a solution and it is to roll back to a previous version of the app. As soon as I did that everything worked fine. I accidentally let it auto-update and it stopped working again but as soon as I reinstalled the 2.9 version it worked fine again.

It is the updated version of the Fitbit app that is causing your problem. You need to uninstall it and install the 2.9 version. You can find the old versions on the Fitbit website. Any Moderator of Fitbit should know this by now. Especially with all these post about not receiving text messages after the update. I had the same issue, but is was resolved when I installed the old version of the Fitbit app.

I haven't been getting text messages on my Blaze for over a month or two. How do you install a previous version of the Fitbit app?

Do a google search for, "Fitbit old app version". The link should come up. Your search should bring up "Fitbit old version- Android". Click on that and you will see old versions. Download the 2.95 version.
It should go into your download folder. You may get a danger message. I downloaded it anyway with no problems. Uninstall you current version of the Fitbit app. Go to your download folder and install the old version. You need to turn off your auto updates, or the new Fitbit version will install again.

I downloaded the fit notifications app on my phone and that mostly fix the problem. Fitbit has not done anything to fix the problem on their end.
