Blaze won't sync after Fitbit app update

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Keeps saying device not found since update and nothing is working like it was. Takes 10 mins to sync continously having to refresh

Time keeps going wrong.

List is endless.very frustrating and time wasting. Is putting me off fitbit. If I had spare money I would try another brand

Hi @Jaynestewart, welcome to the Community Forums. I'm sorry for the late response. I totally understand where your frustration is coming from.

While reading your post I was wondering if the mobile device you're syncing with is included in our list of supported devices? You can see the list at: Which phones and tablets can I use with my Fitbit watch or tracker?

Please keep in mind that when a device is not supported we cannot guarantee its functionality with the Fitbit app. It might work at a certain time and then it can stop working out of nowhere after an update. This is because the app is not optimized to that device and any change could impact the performance.

Please try the below steps in the order shown:

  1. Go into their phone settings and select "Apps"

  2. Find and select Fitbit

  3. Tap "Advanced" and then tap "Battery"

  4. Select "Battery Optimization"

  5. Tap the bar at the top of the screen and select "All Apps"

  6. Find Fitbit in the list, tap it and select "Don't Optimize"

This should help improve your syncing experience and should not have a large impact on your phone's battery life.

I'll be around, keep me posted.

How do you have it paired with your phone ?

Are you using normal Bluetooth or Bluetooth Classic ?

I found my syncing was very slow and after turning off Bluetooth Classic on the Blaze and unpairing that on the phone then my syncing was much quicker.

I am experiencing the same syncing issues as Jayne.  I, too, would purchase a different product if it were an option at this time.

Are you saying you are working on fixing the issue that, although everything is set up correctly on the iPhone and on the Blaze, the Blaze will not sync?  Never had this problem prior to the upgrade, which didn't get done until I got a new iPhone XR (on the compatible list) and pulled down the Fitbit app from the cloud.  On that note, I am also very unhappy with the "upgrade".  What happened to the sleep cycle information?  You have made the app dumbed down, but also not usefule.

I am experiencing the same issues with syncing at this time. In the past when no device was found, I would shut down my fitbit and restart it, connect to Bluetooth and it would work. That is not the case anymore and it is quite frustrating.

My Samsung S9 just keeps looking for my fitbit Blaze and then comes back with no device found.  I have had nothing but issues with my blaze syncing with my samsung since I got it,  The last time it did a sync was 9/27 and now my phone can't even find the fitbit.

It is not your phone. It is issues with last update on fitbit.

HiYes. I would too. With time going wrong as well you can't even use it as a watch.I think fitbit just wants us all to update to the new one and spend more money!!!

So how long are we supposed to wait?  My last sync of my now useless blaze was on September 24th.

My last recorded data was Sunday, September 22, and the clock portion went screwy two days ago.  I am no longer even able to rely on it as a watch.

After posting last night and trying to sync this morning with no luck.  My Blaze has started syncing over the past couple of hours regularly.  I hope this last, but I am not sure it will.
