I recently purchased a Blaze, after downgrading from the Surge.
I can not for the life of me get my Samsung Galaxy S8 plus to connect with the Blaze to
be able to get notifications. After spending almost 45 mins between the chat feature on Fitbits website and on the phone with a tech. They determined that the Blaze's notifications do NOT work with the Galaxy S8. Seems like a cop out, why didn't they tell me that in the first 3 mins of talking with them?
Any solution to this? Anyone else have this issue, and resolved it?

Last week when I purchased my s8, within 2 hours my phone updated. But unlike other users in this thread my notifications do not work on my Blaze. Very disappointing. Is it possible to receive an email alerting me when the engineers gave this issue resolved. I've spent quite a bit of time trying to troubleshoot this problem before I came across this thread stating that there is a known issue.

I too have an s8+ and I bought the blaze yesterday. I have spent countless hours going through my phone to make sure everything is allowed, reinstalled, restarted, rebooted etc. Syncs fine but no notifications. Would really love to have it work to the specifications it promised since the s8+ is on the compatibility list. If there are issues there should be a () stating but doesn't receive notifications as of right now.

I feel your pain. Hope there's a fix coming soon. Spent an awful lot of time time troubleshooting what turned out to be a known issue with my device.

I messaged fit bit on fb and was told they are working on a fix and that the s8 and s8+ wasn't on the support device list, but it is. As long as I'm assured at some point it will be fixed I'll continue to use it. But if they keep giving me the run around I'll sell and get something I know will work. This is bogus. I was against getting a fit bit to begin with but my company gives perks for using it with Vitality and I went ahead and got one I could use like a smart watch since those for Android are bulky and they don't come in the style I like. I like the Apple watches but I have a android and I'm not going back to that again. The s8+ is an amazing phone. Fix this issue already.

When I first asked this question, i was not getting notifications. I tried everything to get them to work. I finally gave up. After about a month, Samsung sent out a update to my OS on my S8+, after that I started receiving notifications. It works great!! Email, Facebook, Twitter, Text messages, phone calls. All are working. In defense of Fitbit, I don't think its them. Its the phone. Get the latest Updates for your phone.

Unfortunately the same night I purchased my s8 I installed the latest update and have had the same issue with no notifications. There does not appear there's another update for my phone available at this time.

This morning when I got up mine started working. I had text, email and thescore had posted news about our favorite baseball team. I didn't do anything to it it just started working. Maybe patience is key. Idk

Hello, I am having this same issue with my S8+. I just purchased the Blaze and had the same experience with tech support. We were not able to get the call or message notifications to push to the Blaze. After many attempts to get it working they told me that it is an issue with the app on the S8 because it is so new. As of now there is no ETA on when this issue will be resolved. These features are a major reason I purchased the Blaze. I'm going to give it a couple of weeks and if they don't have it resolved or can't give me an ETA I will likely return it.
Any updates on this from the moderator would be greatly appreciated.

As if magically my notifications are working now after a profile update to my s8. The sync seems to be much faster and reliable now. And battery life of my Blaze has improved. Patience seems the only remedy to this issue.

Yeah mine did the same thing. Just started working after 2 days of trying after I bought it. Works great now. Just a little patience.

I found the same thing! I day after ranting that i couldn't get it to work, it just all of a sudden started to receive notifications:) crazy! just glad its working, wish I had a more concrete reason as to why so I can help people!

I'm having the notification problems. My Fitbit won't send alerts either. I too have the Samsung s8. I hope the issue is repaired soon!

Seems the only remedy is patience. Was having the same issue. Then out of the blue it self corrected. Noticed if it self corrected after a profile update. Plus had a push notification of a Samsung update. Although it didn't appear the update installed before my Blaze started operating normally. Can't quite put my finger on just what corrected it.

I have the same issue - brand new Blaze, zero notifications. Sounds like if I do nothing, it will magically start working. *sigh* I hope so.

My wife n i had the same problem. Connected to Blaze Classic n a fewdays after or i think the next day...our notification started to work

Does anyone know - should it be connected to "Blaze" or "Blaze Classic"? I've seen conflicting information.
