I recently purchased a Blaze, after downgrading from the Surge.
I can not for the life of me get my Samsung Galaxy S8 plus to connect with the Blaze to
be able to get notifications. After spending almost 45 mins between the chat feature on Fitbits website and on the phone with a tech. They determined that the Blaze's notifications do NOT work with the Galaxy S8. Seems like a cop out, why didn't they tell me that in the first 3 mins of talking with them?
Any solution to this? Anyone else have this issue, and resolved it?
thanks!

I purchased the Blaze this weekend and have a S8+ and am having the same problem. Did you ever figure out how to get it to work?

I did end up getting with fitbit support. In the long run, it is actually on Samsung's end and that until they do a software update for the phone receiving the notifications on the watch itself won't happen. I did all the troubleshoot and then did all that the worker asked and it still wasn't showing up that I had the notifications on on his end; even though I did all he asked to make it work.

Nope, just that they've done all on there in but reported my problem to their engineers to help get better between the Bluetooth connecting with these phones and the Blaze.

I plan on keeping mine. I will use it for the other features and hopefully things will get straightened out soon enough.

I had to wait for the app to pair the tracker to the phone.
Make sure always connected and Fitbit notifications are enabled.

HI I just purchased a blaze after looking online to ensure that they blaze and my Samsung s8 plus are compatible for text, call, email, music, etc and then went out and purchased the 200 dollar watch. needless to say, they are NOT compatible still. if they are not compatible they need to take the false advertisement off their website. as they are not cheap. and I had to speak with someone who barely knew English and couldn't break down for me what the problem was other than, they aren't compatible. and you'll have to wait until they are. check everyday by calling in to see if we are compatible.. horrible , I will be returning my watch and wiring a letter to the owner as that is horrible horrible business decision to falsely advertise that they are compatible with the s8 and s8plus

I have the S8+ and am having the same problems. I contacted them through chat this morning as well and after going through the motions of trying to get it to work I was told that even after doing that that it still isn't showing that my notifications were working. In the long run I was told as well the S8/S8+ are not compatible with this feature. Also was told that they have done everything on there and but now it is up TO Samsung to fix it with an update

I spoke with Samsung. They said if I go to Best Buy and there will be an authorized Samsung person there and they can do something so that makes it work.I'm also having issues with the phone recognizing my Sony wireless speaker.Note 5 worked perfectly with both.

I am having this issue as well and was told it is a Samsung Issue by the Fitbit representative I spoke with. I have tried everything possible to get my notifications to work and they still won't. I can control my music and sync all of my tracking data with the app, but no notifications. I don't think the Galaxy S8 should be added to their compatible phones list. It specifically says that it is compatible for notifications and it clearly is not.

I just had to have my blaze replaced because my original blaze wasn't staying charged however, since receiving the new blaze, which was this last Sat. I'm not able to receive notifications but with my original blaze I had I was receiving notifications just fine with my Samsung S8, a little ridiculous and frustrating.
