I have both a Blaze and Charge HR and when I do hot Yoga, which is a minimal movment activity, on the Charge HR I have to add an activity and it ALWAYS gives me the same calorie count for 1 hour. When I wear the Blaze, I tell it Yoga is my activity on the device and start and stop it. However my calorie count various for the exact same amount of time.
I've always been lead to believe from these forums the charge does an "estimated" calorie because you have to add the activity and I was under the impression the Blaze was exactly the same. However the fact that my Blaze gives me different calorie counts for the same activity and time period (60 minutes) would imply it is "smarter" and takes heart rate or something into account.
This would be wonderful for the Blaze and if true, I am curious as to why it couldn't be done with the HR as well since it has heart rate during those time periods as well?

@checkyourmirror Welcome to the Community! If you are logging the activity using the exercise mode on your Blaze it will take into consideration your steps and heart rate to provide your calorie burn, since the activity can vary it will not give you the same amount of calories in each session, however while just logging the activity if you are using the same time frame it will give you the same amount of calories. This can be why you are seeing a different calorie burn on your log for the same activity.
Hope this helps .

Thank you and that matches what I see, I guess the question I am looking for is why? FitBit online has the same details of steps, heart rate, etc for that time period so why use an estimate and not the same algortithim the wearable does?
