Hi there @decarlos2424. Great to see you in the Community Forums! 🙂
I'm sorry you're having problems with the calories and steps no showing up correctly...
About how your tracker records your steps... Fitbit devices use a 3-axis accelerometer to understand your motions. Fitbit devices have a finely tuned algorithm for step counting. The algorithm is designed to look for intensity and motion patterns that are most indicative of people walking and running. When working at a desk, cooking, or doing other arm movements, a device on your wrist can pick up some extra steps if it thinks you're walking. Many of these situations—such as working or cooking—do include a few steps in-between stationary periods so the device tries to give you credit for those steps. For the vast majority of customers, the amount of stray steps accumulated is negligible when compared to the entire day.
Now, when it comes to the calories, I would recommend checking your personal settings to make sure that your height, weight, gender and all that personal information is correctly entered and that way, ensure that your calories counting will be as accurate as possible.
A restart is always good as well... You can easily do this by pressing the left and lower right buttons for 10-12 seconds. This will make your tracker to reboot.
