Calories and steps way off

My husband bought me a Blaze because after having a fitbit for 2 years, I was ready to move up.

I'm disappointed. The steps are wrong, the calories burned during circuit training are way off. Why?

So basically it does nothing for me.

Hi there @rmetsch. I'm happy to see you in the Community! 🙂

I'm sorry your tracker seems not to be recording your information accurately 😕

Have you already checked your personal settings to make sure that your height and weight have been entered correctly? These two sections are very important to be accurate since with your height, Fitbit determines your stride lenght and with your weight, FItbit will help determine your calorie burn.

Check that out and see if it's all correct. If so, try to make a test. See how many steps you have on your tracker, walk about 100 steps while counting them in your head and after that, see the new number. The steps should be accurate and it might be that it will not count 100% of the steps but a difference of 7-10 steps would be acceptable.

Let me know how it goes and if you need more help with this!

Thanks for getting back @rmetsch! 🙂

I'm pretty sure that was the problem. Keep an eye on it and let me know if it seems more accurate.

So here's another problem I have encountered I'm hoping you can help me with.
I went into my profile and my weight and height were indeed wrong, like you stated. I changed them to what they should be and then clicked on submit. I've done this 5 or 6 times. It shows that it's changed but then I go back into the profile and it's back to the wrong weight and height again! I can't seem to make it stay at the correct settings! It's showing I weigh 15 lbs.
Can you help?Rita

Hmmm... Now that's strange @rmetsch. Would you mind trying to log out of your account and then log back in? Once you're back in, try to change your settings again and hit Submit. Log out of your account again and log back in one more time and see if everything is still as you changed it.

Let me know how it goes!

I'll try that. I switched back to the old dashboard because I don't feel like the new one is syncing. Is that going to matter?

I don't think this will matter. I don't really think that it has to do with the new dashboard either but it would be worth trying to see if that makes any difference @rmetsch. Let me know how it goes!

No that didn't work. I switched back to the new dashboard. Logged off. Waited. Signed back on. Has my height right at 5'4, but my weight at 0.15 lbs.
