ok so i just bought my blaze on the 13th and when i turned it on it already showed over 1K steps and over 1,800 calories burned which i know is very incorrect and i didn't wear it last night and when i woke up it already showed over 600 calories before i even put it on, so is this standard??? or do i have to set everything to zero when i first start and if so how is the process done.

@Anurse when you setuo your Fitbit account you also told Fitbit your height weight and gender. Fitbit uses this to determine your BMR. This is the calories your body burns to keep you on this side of the grave, oh OK to keep you alive.

Fitbit gives you credit for these calories, whether your wearing it or not. That's what these 600 calories are from.

As for why it showed steps when you turned it on,  I can take a guess and have some thoughts, but I want doing to worry about the few I had with the Surge.
