Calories burned counter not correct

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

so i have been reading some posts overhere about the calories

I am wearing my blaze since yesterday and immediatly it said i burned alot of calories, but it cannot be right

this morning I woke op, not wearing it, and put the watch on and after 1 hour in the couch I had burned 799kcal.. incorrect! i read here that u cannot reset the kcal counter, thats to bad, and a pointer to fitbit, to anable an option like that

2nd remark, it sais on my dashboard that i have over 10 000 life time steps, and yesterday I made 2535 in the time I wore it .. I want to delete the life time steps.. as they are obviously not correct.

these options make it worth while to buy a blaze, but if the readings are that incorrect .. then whats the point?
please make en option to delete the counters and then follow up my own steps

thankyou

If you can track down the bogus steps the time can be marked as driving.

As for calories since your still alive your body was burning them as you slept, this is your BMR. Or the minimum calories burnt to keep you on this side of the grave. Wearing your Fitbit will then add the calories from your movement.

I did not wear the blaze while I was speeping so how can it count?
and I know how much effort you have to do to burn 800 kcal, and sitting in the couch doesnt do that for you 😄

Did you read the document i pointed to.

Fitbit does not use the trackers data to calculate your BMR. Since this is what is burnt while sitting still, ie not moving, there will be no data to record.
