Calories burned too high

Hello,  I've seen some similar post names, but they don't share my issue.

I know that FB uses my info to approximate the calories I burn even when I'm not wearing it.

Here is my issue: I usually struggle to get to my 2502 calories that is my target. Yet somehow today, before 11am, I had already hit my goal.

I work a desk job and had nothing out of the ordinary happen today.  Only 1868 steps, but I've already surpassed my calorie goal?

Thoughts??

start with reseting your Blaze

@Jenny92986 you could start by checking on your activity history to see if you have any unusual activity during that period of time.

I was standing at my desk when the alert went off around 10 that I had
burned my calorie goal for the day.

@Jenny92986 sometimes the Blaze goes wacky and you need to restart it:

Did you try that?

True @bbarrera @Jenny92986 that could do the trick by doing it 3 times in a row.

Is your calorie goal influenced by the amount of stes you make?

@RodrigoFitbit why does it take 3 restarts?

I'm not sure; but again; I got up at 7, was at work at 8; stood at my desk
til 10 and then my calories were met.

@bbarrera it's not that it always takes 3 restarts for it to work, but in some cases that could be more effective. Just a personal advise for what I've seen in the Community.

@Jenny92986 I believe you might find helpful knowing more about how the BMR works + the calories you get with the amount of steps you are doing during the day.

Let me know if you have any question.

In that situation my Fitbit would typically show 900-1000 calories burned by 10am. Thats because I burn 77 calories an hour just being alive (77*10 = 770 calories), and I take the dog for a short walk to the park before leaving for work.

@Jenny92986 Restart the tracker (3 times), and see if that helps. Guessing that your Blaze's heart rate monitor is doing something wacky, and inaccurately cranking up calories during the night.
