I recently got a FitBit Blaze to replace a broken Charge that I had an I immediately began noticing that it seems the Blaze says I am burning way more calories than I did with the Charge. For instance, a typical day when I went to the gym in August had me burning 3500 calories for the day (11,800 steps, 32 min on the elliptical, which turned into 285 calories from exercise). However, with my Blaze, a very similar day (10,500 steps, 32 min on the elliptical, which turned into 516 calories from exercise, which also seems weird) had me burning 4431 calories.
Any insight as to why this might be happening?

Hi there @Stant0407. Good to see you in the Community! 🙂
This does sound strange. I would recommend probably checking your personal information. Your BMR and calories calculation is in some part based on your personal data as weight, height, age, etc. So you can try to go to the settings on your account and make sure that it's all correct. Also, just in case, it would be worth restarting your tracker by pressing and holding the left and lower right buttons for 10-15 seconds and after it has restarted, try it out and see how it goes.
Let me know if you need more help.

Thanks for getting back @Stant0407!
At this point, I would recommend getting in touch with the Support Team for them to take a look and see what could be causing this.
If you need anything else, let me know!

Hi, I know it has been a long time since you posted about this issue, but I was wondering if you ever figured out what was wrong?
I've had a continuing issue like yours. For example, just today I walked .63 of a mile in 12.36 mins and it claimed I burned 140 calories which is tooooo unrealisticly high!

Hi @Rubz93! Good to see you in the Forums! 😄
I'm sorry you're having problems with this. By any chance, were you able to check your personal information as I suggested in my post above?
If that's not the issue, I can also recommend restarting your tracker just to make sure it's all working properly. You can easily do this by pressing the left and lower right buttons for 10-12 seconds. This will make your tracker to reboot and then you can try it out and see how it works.
