Hi!

Today I walked for around 1 hour & 17 mins & my Fitbit Blaze shows that I have burned 699 calories during that time. The distance covered was 2.8 miles. I'm not sure if the calories count is correct or not. Can someone please have a look at the screenshot of the data & suggest about the accuracy of the calories burned?

Thank you.

Really depends on your physiology. I weigh 200 pounds and excellent cardio. I would need to walk roughly 6 miles in 1 hour and 15 minutes to burn 700 calories. That's very very fast, jogging pace for many people.

I guess then my data is wrong somewhere as I weight 138 pounds & my height is 5 feet, 5 inches.

That is about 2.1mph. From this website:

http://www.acaloriecalculator.com/calories-burned-calculator/

an estimate of calories burned for a 138 lb person, walking for an 1 hour and 17 minutes on level ground is somewhere around 225-240 calories. Using those estimates, you would need to be jogging or walking 12 minutes per mile (33 minutes for 2.8 miles) to burn 700 calories. Those are averages for general population, based on measured data, but you might not fit into those averages.

While your chart looks high, there could have been other factors involved like it was really hot outside and that sent your heart rate soaring. Or you are on certain medication. Or getting sick.

The other possibility is the Blaze didn't accurately measure your HR .

Thank you for the detailed explanation. I guess I'll need to contact Fitbit support.
