I just got a new blaze, upgrading from Alta and got my Boyfriend one too. Have not tried to start his up yet. The setup screen is the only screen I can see and when I try to reset it wont work. Also I have the updated version of IOS. My phone recognizes the blaze but it is not connected through Bluetooth.

The Fitbit Blaze is such a great choice! I'll be happy to help you getting started with it!
Now, it seems you're trying to set it up from the Bluetooth settings on your phone directly and not from the Fitbit app. In order to set up your new tracker, go to the Account section at the top right corner on the Fitbit app and select the option that says "Set up a new device". Follow the on-screen instructions and once you're done, your tracker should be syncing without a problem.
