Can't sync Blaze on Android or Windows 10

I've tried syncing my new Blaze to both my Samsung Galaxy Victory and my Windows 10 PC and neither will work.  My Samsung may be too old and not compatible but the PC should sync.  Any advice?  What am I doing wrong?

Hello @KingSasquatch42,

Welcome to the community!

I assume that you've yet to pair the device with your account.  When I first got the Blaze I did have some hiccups with trying to pair it through the Windows 10 Fitbit App, but I eventually got it to work through Fitbit Connect and using the USB dongle.

Is this your first Fitbit?  The reason I ask is because the Blaze happens to be the only model that does not come with a USB dongle.  I believe that the Blaze will also sync through the charging cradle, but I'm not sure.  I would try to pair using Fitbit Connect, to do this:

  1. If available, plug in the USB dongle.
  2. Put the Blaze in the charging cradle and plug it in to the PC.
  3. Go to: https://www.fitbit.com/setup
  4. Under platform click on PC.
  5. Click on "Download for Windows".
  6. After it finishes installing, run Fitbit Connect.
  7. Select "Set Up a New Fitbit Device".
  8. Select "Existing User".
  9. Enter e-mail/password.
  10. Verify your account.
  11. Follow the instructions to setup the Blaze

It has been my experience that once paired, it'll sync just fine with the Windows 10 Fitbit App (without the dongle), so you can even uninstall Fitbit Connect.

I hope this helps.

This is my first Fitbit.  I have followed those directions and the fitbit app says I need to update my device.  When I attempt to update it, the fitbit program says it could not complete the update.  I have tried this several times.  I have also uninstalled the program and reinstalled it.  I've also reset my Blaze several times.
