I just received my new Blaze as a birthday present and cannnot set it up. I have a Blackberry Priv running on Android. The first problem is that I cannot download the software on the phone. I have tried twice. It always times out. Now it tells me that the battery is too low to proceed. I have tried to charge on 4 different laptops unsucessfully. I thought that the charge was defective so I returned my first Blaze but now the 2nd one does not charge either. I do not see it on my computer as a newly added device, i don't see the battery icon when pkugged in. To summarize is I have 2 problems, can't download the software and can't charge the Blaze. I am getting pretty frustrated and considering returning it.

Hi, @DawnSirius , try charging it with a cell phone charger and see if that gets you started at least. Once charged, you may better luck setting it up on a laptop. Technically the Fitbit isn't compatible with the Blackberry -- although some users have reported theirs works. I really don't know about Blackeberry running Android... but if you can get it set up, you can worry about the second problem next. Good luck, and keep us posted.
PS make sure you are putting it in the charger making sure it is the right way round so that the brass pins touch the brass charging plates on the Blaze.

Thanks for the help.
I had to call the help line, stayed on with them for over 1 hour and now it all works.

Unless your computer odds running Win10, I don't believe you will get a notification that the Blaze was plugged in.

@AngelaMa, they had me turn off all bluetooth products in the vicinity of my Blaze. I then turned off the blueetooth of my phone, turn back on Blaze. After the Blaze was turned on they had me turn back on my phone's bluetooth. After the phone recognizes the Blaze within the app, I pressed the message indicating that there was a firmware update. It took 1 hour but it did eventually work. When you check the website to see whether the Priv is compatible, it is not listed but I was encouraged as I saw other users in this community use it. I now have to figure out why I am not getting notifications.
Hope this helps. It was simple but it worked for me.

Hello @DawnSirius thanks for sharing the troubleshoot! Are you still experiencing issues with your notifications? I noticed that you mentioned your phone is an Blackberry Priv running on Android, I checked on the list of supported devices and it is not compatible to sync with Fitbit, this can be why you are not getting the notifications on your tracker.
Thanks for stopping by! 😉

@AngelaMa, everything is working swimingly. The Priv does not appear to be supported but because it runs on Android, does work. You just need a bit of patience with the download. I love my Blaze!
