Hi @fatwilly. Great to see you in the Community and sorry to hear about your motorcycle accident 😕 Hope you're doing better!
I would recommend restarting your Blaze by pressing the button on the left side and the button at the lower right side together for about 10-15 seconds until it goes off and restarts with the Fitbit Logo. Once this has happened, try it out and see if you still experience any difficulty with getting it to respond when you press any button and also keep an eye on the sleep tracking.
