I'm trying to change the language to English. on my new Blaze. I live in China and so, the default language, obviously, is Chinese (Mandarin) which I do not speak. I want to change this to English but am not sure how. I did switch off "Time Zone -Set Automatically". I am on Shanghai time zone and the country shown is China. How can I set the language to English? Thanks!

You'll need to change the country to an English speaking country, I would set it to your home country. Now do a sync so it can download the new language.

I had the same problem, and managed to fix it, I'm a brit living in Germany, but the Blaze keeps wanting to update back to Germany, I keep on having to change back to England, it's rather annoying.  Why can one not separately change the language from the country?

A warm welcome to the Community @Mirawa@SThomas and @Rich_Laue thanks for stopping by.

@SThomas I am glad to hear that your inquiry has been resolved, if you need anything else do not hesitate in posting it. Now @Mirawa, as our friend @Rich_Laue mentioned, you need to have the language that you prefer in the device you use to sync your tracker in order to not having problem with this with your tracker. Please set the language you prefer on your phone and then sync your Blaze.

Catch you later. Smiley Happy

Dear @AlejandraFitbit ,

Your comment about being resolved is incorrect on 2 points.

  1. Fitbit does not allow you to set the language independently of the country settings, as @Mirawa  suggested.
(most other websites and other apps do)
  2. Like @Mirawa I also live in Germany but already have my preferences set to English so your comment about changing the phone settings to override the app language is also incorrect.

@DaveMP this was a conversation with @SThomas, and it was @SThomas, who asked the question and marked the best post for him.

If you find that the best post did not give a satisfactory answer. Instead of jumping on a solved thread, then complain, it may have been better to start a new thread
