Charging The Blaze Watch

Is there any other way to charge the Blaze other than putting it into the cartridge and connecting it via the USB port on your computer?  

 

Why can't you charge the Blaze in another way or if there is, will somebody link me to it or explain it.

You have to use the provided cradle and cable but any USB power source should be ok. I use the wall charger that I use to charge my phone.
