Charging battery question

The instructions say that you can charge with any device with a USB port, but not with a mobile phone charger. Two questions 1) Why not? 2) What other devices are there to plug into besides a computer? I would love to charge at night on the stand beside my bed, but this is not where I keep my computer.

You can use a wall charge but it needs to be  UL-certified otherwise it will damage the battery
