I believe notifications right now are limited to phone calls, texts, and calendar alerts. I've got an Apple Watch and get full Fitbit notifications on it including goal updates, challenge invites/updates, and messages (cheers/taunts/PMs), anything that appears on my lock screen unless I go into Watch app and filter it out.
Hoping to see the same on Blaze, and for it to enter the 21st century and support real smartphone notifications like every other tracker in the market. Both iPhone and Android have notification centers, and the Blaze has access to all notifications but Fitbit decided to limit it to only 1 text messaging app, 1 calendar, and phone calls. That is way too limiting in this day of Snapchat and Facebook Messenger and ...

Sadly the Blaze is smart enough to let the phone app send GPS to the Blaze, but not smart enough to let the phone app send challenge/message notifications (among other problems with Fitbit's so-called "smart notifications").
