I have found that the Blaze is horrible at keeping track of my HR (and steps) when I'm doing my normal high intensity workouts - Insanity, Insanity Max30, etc... I find that my Polar chest strap type tracker is much more accurate and when worn together I find that my Blaze is shorting me 100-150 calories per workout!! Plus I'm constantly fiddling with the position of the Blaze on my arm to try to get a better reading. I have both size bands so I can wear it comfortably a little further away from my wrist and smaller bands to wear closer to my wrist. Nothing helps! I'm constantly frustrated by the fact that it's saying my HR is much lower than I know it to be and then watch it shoot up when I'm taking my 30 second breaks bc it has finally found me! Is there any chance you could design a chest strap that will hold the Blaze to make it more accurate for more intense workouts? Any help you can give would be much appreciated!! The Blaze is great for minimal to moderate activity but some work needs to be done for intense activity!
You can wear the Blaze without the strap at all - what happens if you put it in your sock? I often wear mine in my sock. Seems to work fine both on the inside and on the outside of my ankle.
I'd imagine that most compression clothing would hold it in place where ever you put it.
I don't know if you are female or not, but I often put my blaze in the side of my sports bra and it works great. You can't control exercise mode at all, but if you just want to get heart rate data and step count it should work. I use it when I'm doing a lot of messy chores or gardening and I might be in muck up past my wrists, or if I'm going to be outside and don't want a wrist band tan.
I will certainly give this a try. I guess it's going to depend on how tight the bra is as to whether is moves around too much. Should work well with the high impact ones I wear during my workout though. Never though about it with the wrist tan either!! Thank you for the suggestion!
