Clock Faces Information Post

Hey everyone! Screenshot 2016-03-04 10.25.25.png

Now that Blaze is finding its way into the hand of our users, we thought we'd provide a bit more information regarding clock faces, and how you can interact with your Blaze in different ways! Here's the run down of the four default clock faces:

Original:

The time is shown in analog format using an hour-hand and minute-hand. Those dots that go around the circumference of the watch area indicate minutes of the hour. The step icon at the top of the screen is the primary statistic, which is displayed in the progress dial as well (the circle surrounding the clock). The icon at the bottom of the clock is your stat cycle, where you can tap the display to cycle through all of your primary stats for the day as well.

Flare:

Flare consists of 3 main elements: time, date, and activity level. The Flare on the outside will follow the current minutes to the hour while also displaying the activity for the hour. The more you move in the hour, the further out the Flare will extent. Click here for more details.

Zone

This clock shows the time over a color-changing background that corresponds to your heart rate. The HR Stat, HR zone and date can be toggled with this clock face, meaning you can cycle through and see what you want to see.

Pop

With Pop, your clock-face will consist of 4 main elements: time, steps, HR, and calories. While your heart rate icon on this screen does not indicate HR zone (the HR circle is always full), both the steps and calories statistic will update to be reflective of your step/calorie burn goal for the day!

We hope this helps. As always, questions and feedback are welcome and appreciated. If you'd like to see new clock faces (or changes to existing ones), please add your vote/comments to this Feature Request with specific changes you'd like to see.

I understand your frustration.

But this clock face looks like the ZONE before it goes into that hideous yellowy-orange iteration.

I'm really hoping - along with a truckload of others, it seems - that new clock faces are on our Christmas List.

I saw Fitbit is advertising this clock face again! Does this mean there are plans to make this available or is this another false advertisement?

It does seem they should not be advertising a watch face that is not currently available.  Kind of false advertising.

It is not false advertising, it is the Zone face with the Heart Rate monitor off, the background is black in that case.  So nothing false here....and you do have it.

I feel like there is no face that has the time, date and you can see your steps in one tap. That would be nice. The pop face would be perfect if it had the date.

If we can't change the background to match that, then it is false advertising.  Not sure what you're talking about.  If you can't replicate what's in the ad, what is that called then?  Especially since quite a few people are upset about the clock faces.

OK, but you CAN REPLICATE that face.....hence my saying it is NOT false advertising.  SImply turn off your Heart Rate sensor, choose the Zone watch style, and you will have EXACTLY what is there.  Maybe you should re-read my last post showing you how to get that face.

I am with you......there are countless times I have wished the Pop had a date on it.....even if it took a tap and date was on the top of the "Steps" screen.  Somewhere would be nice.

I actually spoke with a FitBit rep. who said this clock face- called Argyle- is not available yet and at the moment they have no plans of making it available.

It is the same version of this one they originally advertised which displays the date, time, and your heart rate- unlike the Zone. These are 2 different clock faces- one of which they are advertising and have no plans of producing.fitbit blaze.png

Then just push the single button on the left of the face. Works EVERY time!

I don't understand Fitbit's need to false advertise.  Advertise with the faces that are available, or make the other ones an option.

I don't think it's deliberate false advertising. Probably whatever company in China that manufacturers the Blaze for FitBit actually had that face at the time of preproduction and promotional pictures were taken. Then when the Blaze went into production, the manufacturer decided to change it for some reason.

But at this point, those pictures should no longer be used in their advertising.

I love the zone clock face because it's digital and let's me quickly know if my heart rate is where I want it to be. Unfortunately being able to switch between my heart rate and the current date is a waste to me. I use the original clock face because I need to be able to easily switch between steps distance calories floors and heart rate. Unfortunately for the original clock face after I've hit my steps it's difficult to quickly tell the time because the entire circle is green without any tick marks (at the very least) for hours and minutes. That's why I'd like to see either a new clock face that fixes those problems, added tick marks to the original face, or added features to the main zone face. There is a ton of potential with clock faces but I think the opportunity is being wasted. If only I could program some of my own...

You are dead-on, there was nothing saying "hey check out this great clock face" and then it was not there.  And they are not using it in advertising anymore on their website.

Hey, I like the original clock face, but as the main tracker progresses ( let's say steps) it's getting harder to read the time since the hours symbols get covered. Also, very difficult to read in the sunlight. I'd like to be able to see my steps, time and HR without going through different screens.

I would like to see a customizable "build your own" clock face. There is plenty of information available on the device that would be useful to have with just the raise of a wrist, and I would like to have the option to decide what I see before I have to start swiping and tapping.

What happened to the watch face that is in all of the advertisements?

The one called Argyle?

Gave up.  Returned and bought a Samsung.

Is there going to be an update that will add a second hand on the Original face? I also think that being able to adjust when the display goes into "Sleep" mode would be an awesome addition to the features.
