The error your seeing @Donaldk, is not from the charging. The Blaze has data lines in the cable so that a win 10 macine may sync throigh it's cable and not use bluetooth.
Win 7 and 8 are unable to talk to the Blaze, since they done know what to do with it.
It should still charge, just ignore the error message.
Yes a wall brick/wort is fine.
