Silly me bought it before checking if it should work and now I can't get the tracker to track my exercising. Getting the 'check fitbit app' error no matter what I try.

Make sure the app is up to date.. V2.29
Go to your tracker settings on the phone app, make sure always connected is checked.
Make sure you can access the Imternet. This should not matter but some have reporters that it does.
Turn off any speakers that are connected to the bluetooth.
Now try again to track an exersize.
If it still fails then try an reboot the phone.

The app is up-to-date, and always connected is enabled. I also do have an internet connection available at all times.
I did have speakers paired with bluetooth, but in accordance to your suggestion I unpaired everything that wasn't Blaze itself, but to no avail. I also rebooted the tracker and phone, still doesn't seem to work.
How long should syncing take, by the way? I'm afraid that the problem lies within either the length of the syncing-time - which takes a good 20 seconds every time - OR the always connected/all-day sync function isn't working properly. Could that be it? I would really love to get this working. Thanks for the help so far.

As for syncing, sometimes it takes 30 seconds for me, while at other times it seems like 3 minutes.. I don't know why, I can't always explain it on slow internet.
As for the speaker I suggested turning it off, not un-pairing
notification has to be enabled before the connected GPS will work.
I first suggest to look at. http://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1611

Ok @Nuuskmõmmik let's go the next step, now that we know we're past the First hurdle.
First let's swipe down on the Status bar, hold the finger on the location icon, then let go.. Alternative would be Menu - settings - location. Make sure location is set to High Accuracy.
Make sure your Fitbit app is running, at least in the background.
Now give it a try, of course I'm assuming that even tho the phone is not officially supported that there is good chance that it will wprk.
