Hi there,

I've been trying to use the music controls on the blaze with spotify but cannot seem to get it to connect.

Is spotify compatible with the watch?

Thanks Bren

There is no app 'compatibility' as such. The Blaze talks to the music control features of the phone so the question is really whether Spotify uses the standard phone music features that Fitbit communicate with.

Thats not really a question anyone can answer unless they've used the controls with Epitify on the same model of phone that you have.

Please @Houston see this help doc, I see Spotify listed as a supported app. I also notice their are some devices listed with known problems.

Remember that the music needs to be playing before the Blaze can control it.

Welcome to the Community @Houst! Thanks for the advice @MikeF and @Rich_Laue. Spotify should work with your Blaze when you're using music control. Please make sure that you're following this procedure to get it properly working.

Additionally, are you getting any error that's not letting you use this feature? Have you tried using your phone's music?

I followed the directions on the link you provided and am still having issues controlling the music on Spotify.

The screen keeps going from "connecting" to "loading music" and never lets me gain control.

Please help!

Welcome to the Community @Vmarin! Thanks for letting me know that you've tried the tips I provided in the previous article. Please, try the following:

  • On your phone, go to Settings > Bluetooth and select Blaze (on iPhone) or Blaze (Classic) (on Android and Windows phones). If you don't see Blaze in the list of devices paired to your phone, set up music control again. For instructions, see How do I control music with my Fitbit device?
  • Make sure Blaze is within approximately 20 feet of your phone.
  • Under Settings on Blaze, confirm that Bluetooth Classic is set to "Pair."
  • Try switching Bluetooth Classic from "Pair" to something else and then back to "Pair."
  • Restart your phone.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Yes you can if you open it first on your phone. Open the app and playbur list or radio then you can control volume and skip forward/back tracks or pause/play.
